With the aim of offering increasingly interesting activities for the public, the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority (ABTA) presented the events calendar for 2024. Here are some highlighted proposals for the coming year:

January 2024 | Wellness Month in Antigua and Barbuda

The islands are the perfect place to start the year in a healthy way. Throughout the month, visitors can participate in special activities such as meditation, outdoor yoga, excursions, and a variety of spa treatments, among other proposals.

January 20, 2024 | Antigua Yacht Club Round the Race Island Tour

This annual regatta is one of Antigua’s most anticipated events as it offers sailors a challenging and picturesque course. The event usually attracts a diverse fleet of yachts and sailors from around the world, making it a highlighted event on the Caribbean sailing calendar.

February 9–11, 2024 | Jolly Harbour Valentine’s Regatta

Each year, this celebration is known for its festive and romantic atmosphere, being a popular event for both competitive sailors and those looking to enjoy a fun coastal celebration.

March 13–17, 2024 | 13th Superyacht Challenge

A prestigious and competitive sailing regatta exclusive to superyachts, known for its thrilling races and luxurious atmosphere.

March 23–24, 2024 | Antigua Yacht Club Annual Laser Open

A popular sailing competition held in Antigua focused on the Laser class, known for its individual races. Sailors of various levels usually participate, making it a highlighted event in the local nautical calendar.

April 1, 2024 | Antigua and Barbuda International Kite Festival

A vibrant and cultural event celebrating the art of flying kites, with a colorful exhibition featuring representatives from various countries.

April 27 – May 3, 2024 | Antigua Sailing Week

It’s THE nautical week of the Caribbean! It holds a privileged place in the international nautical calendar, attracting a diverse fleet of sailboats and sailors from around the world who compete in various classes amid a lively social life.

May 4–19, 2024 | Antigua and Barbuda Restaurant Week

A culinary event celebrating the diverse and delicious flavors of the islands. During the week, participating restaurants offer special fixed-price menus, providing an opportunity to taste a wide range of traditional and international dishes.

May 16–19, 2024 | 56th Annual Antigua and Barbuda Sport Fishing Tournament

This popular competition attracts fishermen from different places to test their skills in catching various fish species in the waters surrounding the islands.

May 26, 2024 | Race in Paradise

An annual athletics event held in Antigua that offers participants the opportunity to run through the island’s most incredible landscapes, including its beaches and historical sites. It is popular among both locals and tourists for its picturesque route.

June 2024 | Month of Romance in Antigua and Barbuda

Although the twin islands are a romantic destination 365 days a year, during the month of June, they offer special events and offers for weddings, as well as activities designed to promote the islands as a preferred destination for honeymoons and romantic getaways.

July 25 – August 6, 2024 | Antigua Carnival: The Caribbean’s biggest summer festival!

The Antigua Carnival is a vibrant and energetic celebration offering colorful parades, music, parties, and various cultural performances.

September 27–28, 2024 | Francis Nunes Jr. Fishing Tournament and Seafood Festival

The festival also includes a fishing competition and gastronomic proposals, in a festive atmosphere inviting locals and visitors to enjoy.

November 1, 2024 | Independence Day of Antigua and Barbuda

On November 1, the Independence Gastronomic Fair is celebrated, offering some of the best dishes from the islands in a festive atmosphere with parades, cultural activities, and live music.

November 27 – December 3, 2024 | Antigua and Barbuda Art Week

An annual event celebrating the art and culture of the islands, with exhibitions, workshops, and performances showcasing the talent of local and international artists and promoting art within the community.

December 4–9, 2024 | Antigua Charter Yacht Show

An annual event in the nautical industry showcasing luxury charter yachts and other services. It allows potential clients, industry professionals, and the general public to explore and experience the finest vessels, promoting the island as a nautical destination.

December 25 / December 31, 2024 | Christmas and New Year’s Party at Nelson’s Dockyard

Both Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, Antigua offers a celebration with music and entertainment to commemorate. Visitors can enjoy music, dance, and delicious Caribbean cuisine in a historical setting.
